Biography

Tang Jianbing, MD, graduated from the Department of Military Medicine, Fourth Military Medical University. After graduation, he successively pursued further studies and training in ophthalmology, stomatology, burn and plastic surgery, hair transplantation, and other specialties. He is currently an attending physician in the Department of Plastic Surgery, Guangzhou General Hospital of the Guangzhou Military Region. 

Professional Expertise:
① Cosmetic plastic surgery: skilled in surgical correction of triangular eye deformity, puffy eyelids, brow ptosis, and lower eyelid bags; uses various artificial materials combined with autologous cartilage for rhinoplasty and nasal tip elevation; surgical treatment of pubertal breast hypoplasia or breast hypertrophy, and post-lactation breast atrophy and ptosis; management of induration and displacement after breast augmentation by injection of artificial fat or hyaluronic acid; liposuction and body contouring of the abdomen, thighs, upper arms, and other areas; surgical treatment of facial wrinkles and abdominal skin laxity.

② Burn plastic surgery: has accumulated rich experience in the treatment of post-burn facial scar hyperplasia, scar contracture of the neck, axilla, and various joints, and claw hand; uses flap and muscle flap transfer, biological materials combined with skin grafting, and other methods to repair chronic non-healing ulcers and pressure sores.

③ Hair transplantation: long engaged in hair transplantation; uses current methods such as follicular unit transplantation, punch grafting, and scalp reduction to treat early baldness, baldness (seborrheic or androgenetic alopecia), cicatricial alopecia, and defects of the eyebrows, eyelashes, beard, and pubic hair. The number of treated cases has reached several hundred, with satisfactory results.

④ Congenital deformity plastic surgery: repair of congenital deformities such as cleft lip and palate and secondary deformities; surgical repair of giant hairy nevi, neurofibromas, and lipomas on the body surface. 

Work Philosophy: Warm and attentive reception of patients, factual and realistic explanations, and the pursuit of perfection in surgery. Engaged in research on wound healing, hair follicle culture, and hair regeneration. Has published nearly 20 articles in core journals, co-authored 1 monograph, led one Guangdong Provincial Medical Research Fund project, and participated in one National Natural Science Foundation project and one provincial Natural Science Foundation project. Among them, the research results "Study on the Role of Hair Follicle Culture in Burn and Trauma Wound Healing and Hair Regeneration" and "Therapeutic Effect of Laser on Burn Sequelae" won the Third Prize of the Military Science and Technology Progress Award in 2006 and 2007, respectively.
